I came across Vinka Design when I first started gathering wedding dress inspiration. After pouring through endless photos of gowns online, and trying on my fair share of nice dresses at other stores that just weren’t ‘the one’, I had a strong feeling that I would find that dress at Vinka, and I did! I absolutely adored my gown, it was so perfect, and I had so many compliments on the day. Anita was so fabulous to work with, she made my dream dress a reality and put my mind at ease which is exactly what an anxious bride to be needs. I had heard stories about how stressful it could be finding the perfect wedding dress, but from the moment I stepped inside the studio and met Anita I knew I would be wearing a Vinka gown on my wedding day. The whole process was so easy right from the beginning; the hardest part was choosing a gown from the wonderful collection of designs made from exquisite fabrics and laces. Anita created the most beautiful wedding gown for me. The dress was so much better than I'd dreamed; it fit like a glove and I felt absolutely incredible wearing it. What can I say about Anita and her wonderful team at Vinka Design ... They are the only people in the world that made me relax while planning a wedding! They were extremely friendly and Anita's bubbly personality could make me go from crying my eyes out, thinking the world was ending to smiling and laughing hysterically! Any issues I had with ANY aspect of the wedding she was more than happy to talk through and offered a million ways to help solve whatever crisis I thought I was in. Now for the dress ... Omg I can't even begin to describe how breathtakingly beautiful my gown was. I must admit I thought I had done something terrible the day after I handed over my deposit to her for agreeing to buy a dress off a drawing. Multiple times ringing my mum in a panic! What if I didn't like it? What if Anita didn't understand what I wanted? I knew that Anita was the lady I wanted to make my dress after meeting her at the Bride and Groom show the year before and I should trust my instincts. Turns out my instincts were right and the dress was in INCREDIBLE! Just the right amount of volume, and the lace! Omg! The week before my final fitting we were still playing around with ideas and I decided I wanted something small coming off the shoulder and within 5 minutes we had our idea sorted, pinned onto the dress and Anita promised it would be done. Their craftsmanship is second to none! Would I recommend Anita and Vinka Design to anyone in the future? Absolutely. While their dresses are a little more than others, the process and manner in which they work is so relaxed and easy going, and don't stress because it will all be worth it! Who doesn't want to look their best on their wedding day? A perfectly customized couture gown from, in my opinion, the leading bridal designers in New Zealand.   WOW! How do I even put into words just how amazing my dress, experience and wedding day was, because of Anita and her team. My dress was simply perfect for me, and somehow Anita knew that. From day one she made me feel at ease trying on gowns I would not usually try, her team are so professional, yet passionate, warm and bubbly and you just can't help but enjoy being around them and feeling like the most beautiful woman and bride to be. I was so excited to be able to see the process of the dress being made, and appreciate the hard work these ladies put into it. The end result was so stunning and it was MINE. Everyone complimented me and my dress and I felt so GOOD. I would tell every bride to be to go see Anita!!  All I can say is that I felt like such a princess on my wedding day. Everyone complimented my dress and two months later people still mention how gorgeous it was. After being overwhelmed with the style/fit of ready made dresses, Anita was such a breath of fresh air. While I myself had no clue what would suit my figure (other than saying "Make me look pretty!"), Anita had a vision from the first day - she knew straight away how to make me look gorgeous. Not only did Anita and her team do a flawless job throughout, but she also made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. She is definitely someone who you can have a laugh with - this was needed when we were getting close to the wedding day. Anita worked so hard on my dress and had to constantly make adjustments due to me losing weight. Overall I wish I could rate Vinka a 10 out of 5 as I was just so impressed and thrilled with the final outcome. You made such a masterpiece for me and it is something I will always treasure. I visited the team at Vinka after having already purchased a wedding dress which I was having serious doubts about. Despite knowing that I already had a dress (and the purchase of a second was probably unlikely), they had all the time in the world for me. Wedding dress shopping can be SO OVERWHELMING. Especially if you are not a happy dress shopper at the best of times. The whole process, from the initial consultation through to fittings & creating the final design was an absolute pleasure & the most stress free part of the wedding planning! Anita was able to take my ideas and translate them into the perfect dress for me, wearing it on my wedding day was so special & I will treasure my gown always!

 Working with Anita at Vinka design was a truly great experience. From the moment I saw my dress I knew it was the one. Anita made me feel nothing but spectacular, right from the original concept through to the final design. Everything about dealing with her made me feel like an absolute princess and that there was nothing that could happen on the day that could take away from that magical feeling. Anita is truly passionate about what she does and it shows throughout every part of her work, right down to the smallest of details. My finished dress was more than I could have ever asked for and what the team at Vinka Design created was nothing short of amazing.
